Colombian coffee is ubiquitous and popular, and the Coffee Federation of Colombia has done a great job of bringing high quality coffee to grocery stores and restaurants around the world. We bring even more exceptional Colombian coffee to our shop.

In general Colombian coffees are well balanced, medium bodied and bright. Only in recent years has Colombian coffee been marketed by growing regions. In the past the whole of the country was the brand marketing tool, not its specific regions.

At Northwest Coffee, we bring you some of the best Guatemalean coffee, roasted to perfection. Our Guatemalean beans come from the Huehuetenango (way-way-ten-nang-oh) region of the country, which produces bright, floral and fruity coffee. We roast it to a smooth, easygoing cup, bringing you a little bit of Central America.

Sumatran coffee is often laid out over the jungle floor to dry after processing. Tanzanian Peaberry is an exotic coffee grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Peaberry is the term for a coffee cherry that only develops one bean instead of the usual two. Folk wisdom tells us that the robust flavor of the peaberry comes from all of the coffee goodness being packed into a single bean.

Blends

Each of our blends bring together two or more of our varietals to create something unique. Blending is an opportunity for us to isolate and enrich the flavors in your cup of coffee.

Our house coffee is a wonderfully mild and mellow blend of Central and South American coffees.

Roasts

We offer two roasts outside of our usual full city roasting profile. The SoHo blends our Ethiopia and Guatemala in a light roast, and our French Roast is a traditional roast, taken much darker than any of our other offerings.

SoHo is our lightest roast. It’s a blend of Ethiopia and Sumatra, with berry and flowery flavors.
